For those of you who don’t follow F1 closely, the Austin race is the second newest track behind Sochi’s. F1 in general can be a very confusing sport to follow so our F1 expert has put together a guide for all things Circuit of Americas so that everyone can understand it a little better.
About the Track
Circuit of the Americas is a 3.427 mile motor racing circuit just outside the city limits of Austin, Texas. Although Circuit of the Americas hosts many events such as the Australian V8 supercar series, the American Le Mans series and the Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas, the track is best known as the host of the Formula One United States Grand Prix. With the first race in 2012, the track was well received by the drivers and exciting for the fans. With 20 turns and one of the few tracks that runs counter clockwise, Circuit of the Americas provides a different physical challenge for drivers, and a unique spectator experience.
