Talladega Superspeedway is located north of Talladega, Alabama. The track is a Tri-oval and was constructed by International Speedway Corporation. Talladega is most known for its steep banking and the unique location of the start/finish line – which is closer to turn one than at Daytona. Talladega Superspeedway is the longest NASCAR oval with a length of 2.66 miles, and the track at its peak had a seating capacity of 175,000 spectators. With the recent demolition of the Allison Grandstand down the backstretch, the capacity has been reduced to 80,000, making it one of the most intimate and exciting tracks in the world of NASCAR!
